This Pie is a complete allusion, it’s so rich and creamy with no cream, all healthy ingredients with a date paste sweetener. No processed sugar in this recipe. a>Sugar image

Today I will begin a 40 day sugar fasting Sadhana. A Sadhana mean a daily spiritual practice a test for self discipline and self mastery. I will journal my experience and I will keep myself honest by keeping live updates on my blog and twitter. This is hard being a Yoga teacher because we must also walk the talk for our students. Kundalini Yoga is hard and disciplined, and a teacher must learn to lead by their own experience. And as I become closer to our universal healer my tasks do seem to become more challenging. Sugar is huge for me because it has always been one of my comforts when times get tuff, and emotions are hanging on a wire. This will be the time to see what I do when eating sugar will not be an option, the glass of wine, the white or wheat bread, the white pasta, the list goes on of food with sugar, or foods that break down into simple carbohydrates

sun setTaming the monkey Mind, divinebooks.netThe Shabd guru is the guru of sound through which the infinite can be reached.
Harmonic sound vibration Naad is created through chanting mantra healing every cell in our body.
Naad is the essence of all sound using the tongue in the mouth to change the chemicals in the brain while chanting. This invisible guru through vibration sound current dissolves the ego which prevents us from seeing the truth, preventing us from acting with our authentic self.

Appling the techniques of mantra, the Shabd guru releases consciousness through the power of Naad, magically shifting circumstances around in our life. The Shabd guru is a powerful teacher dissolving the distortions of the ego, even putting you to sleep when you have run out of options, calming the spirit.

The chant and meditation you’re about to receive has three parts- 1.Chanting mantra,
2. Mudra (hand formation), 3.meditation. The meditation will focus the mind. Often we experience the Monkey Mind, creating mischief, chaos and confusion or telling ourselves we can’t do something, but move beyond this little monkey to calm clarity.

Another visualization to practice while chanting this mantra is colors. Place them correlating to each Chakra. Visualize them simultaneously with each syllable of the mantra.

Sit in easy pose crossing your legs comfortably with Gyan Mudra- thumb and index finger touching w/hands placed on knees palms facing up, and remaining fingers stretched out.

Chant: RAA MAA DAA SAA SAA SAY SO HUNG each time chanting the syllables, one at a time starting with the root chakra, then go each chakra working your way up the spinal column.

Root- earth- RAA- Sun energy
Second- water – MAA- Moon energy
Third – fire – DAA- Earth energy
Fourth – air – SAA- Totality.
Fifth – ether- SAA – Totality.
Sixth – third eye- SAY- Spirit, energy
Seventh- crown- SO- Manifestation
Eighth aura Hung Experience of Thou

Colors to visualize with Syllables
Root color Red, Security and survival
Second color Orange Creativity
Third color Yellow Action balance
Four- color Green Love& compassion
Fifth color Light blue Protective power of the word.
Sixth color Indigo Intuition, Wisdom & identity
Seventh color Violet Humility and vastness.

Pull in the navel powerfully on so and hung and clip off each of these making them short Particularly note that Hung is not long and dawn out, You clip it off forcefully as you pulling the navel. Chant one complete cycle of the entire mantra, and then inhale deeply and repeat, remember mantra is not singing but vibration.
Resonate each sound syllable through your body slowly, if in a group keep up with the
group.

kundalini_seven chakrasIn Kundalini Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Is a comprehensive practice, in which we study the technology of the Ten Bodies. These spiritual, mental, energetic aspects make the some total of our physical being.

“If you understand that you are Ten Bodies, and you’re aware of those Ten Bodies, and you keep them in balance the whole universe will be in balance with you”-Yogi Bhajan

So what is the Anatomy of the Ten Bodies? They are made up of one physical body, three mental bodies, and six energy bodies.

1. Soul Energy
2 Negative Mind
3 Positive Mind
4 Neutral Mind
5 Physical Body
6 Arcline Energy
7 Aura Energy
8 Pranic Energy
9 Subtle Energy
10 Radiant Energy

Kundalini Yoga with its systemized Kryia’s, is a way to work on balancing the Ten Bodies. Mantras, mudra, meditation, and exercises’ are laid out in our daily Kundalini Yoga practice called Sadhana. Therefore a regular, sincere practice of Kundalini Yoga is a comprehensive way to work on the ten bodies all at once.

It is believed the root of illness exist first in one of these spiritual energy bodies before it manifests outwardly. Awareness of the individual aspects of these ten bodies helps to recognize one’s weaknesses, and apply specific meditation, and movement to strengthen and balance the ten components of self to make ourselves healthier.

Part of my teaching practice is to awaken my student’s to the Ten Bodies, which is the corner stone of my class’s. Kundalini Yoga is so rich in giving the student the ability to balance every aspect of their lives and to become confident in realizing themselves as teachers.

Yogi Bhajan made it clear from the beginning when he came to the United States that he had come to train teachers not to gather disciples. Every one is a teacher. So keep up!

meditation under a treePranayama – Breath is essential to Yoga work because it regulates “the life force energy” through out your body to expel toxins.
Fresh live food is another way to bring life force energy into your body pushing out emotional and physical sludge, revitalizing cells, neurons and coping ability.

The aura is formed by paranic energy, and acts like a force field, called the electric magnetic field, around our bodies, protecting us against stressors and negativity
.
By being the silent observer, while listening to your breath, we react less to the out side forces. Giving our Neutral body a chance to give us a clear picture of what’s really going on.

Kundalini life force energy is also moved through our chakras which are power centers located in seven central places in our body-

1, Root Chakra -perineum
2, Chakra- reproductive area
3. Chakra -navel point
4. Chakra- heart center
6. Chakra –third eye at brow point
7. Crown chakra –top of head.

The life force energy pattern exists through out all life forms, mother earth and the Universe.

Sat Nam.

Kirtan Kriya for Total Mental Balance

Mantra and Mudra to produce the five primal sounds in the original word form.

Mantra

SAA: Infinity, cosmos, beginning

TAA: Life, existence

NAA: Death, change, Transformation

MAA: Rebirth

Mudra

On SAA, touch the first (Jupiter) finger to thumb

On TAA, touch the second (Saturn) finger to thumb

On NAA, touch the third (Sun) finger to thumb

On MAA, touch the fourth (Mercury) finger to thumb

Each time the mudra is closed by joining the thumb with a finger, the ego “seals the effect of the mudra in the consciousness the effect are as follows:

1st finger: Gyan Mudra  -    Knowledge

2nd finger: Shuni Mudra-    Wisdom

3rd finger: Sura Mudra   -    Vitality, energy of life

4th finger: Buddhi Mudra – Ability to communicate

This meditation brings a total mental balance to the individual psyche, vibrating on each fingertip alternates the electrical polarities. The index and the ring fingers are electrically negative, relative to the other fingers, these cause balance in electromagnetic projection of the aura.

tanttric-yogini1One of the central processes in most Kundalini Kriyas is to strengthen the accumulating energies of Prana (enhaling) life force energy, and elimination energy of apana (Exhale), which act as the central axis of all pranayams

Upana -Head and throat
Prana-Chest region
Shamana-Stomach region
Apana-Intestional region.

Optimum health is maintained when life force energy, prana and apana are both strong and balanced. these energies are mixed together and united at navel point by applying mulbandh, which is closing off the lower opening of the body, forcing the Kundalini energy upward through the higher chakras. Opening up pathways to higher levels of awareness; opening the doorway to our souls’ energy.
